Pina Coladas & Our Other Favorite Summer Drinks

When it comes to summer drinks, a few things are true — first, they taste better in the open air with the sun on your skin. Second, they are enjoyed all the more when you feel your best. BFYNE's range of stunning swimwear is designed to make you look and feel the best version of yourself. Whether you're after a sexy yet sophisticated one-piece, a classic bikini, or a two-piece packed with character and flair, you're sure to find just what you're looking for. Slip into your new swimwear and sip one of the following mouthwatering cocktails to feel confident, sassy, and fab in the sun.

The best cocktails to enjoy

Pina Colada

Transporting you right from your home to a sandy beach with coconut-filled palm trees and crystal clear waters, The Pina Colada is one of the most classic summer cocktails. A real crowd-pleaser, it's creamy, refreshing, and imbues all the flavors of the summer season.  Made from a blend of rum, coconut milk, and pineapple juice, it's easy to make yet packs a punch with flavor. Simply mix the ingredients, then serve blended or shaken with ice. To finish, garnish with a maraschino cherry and slice of pineapple for the full effect.

Mojito

A Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball. Its name derives from the word "Mojo" which means "to place a little spell," which is exactly what this drink does. One of the most refreshing cocktails on the list, it's ideal to sip when the weather is hot, quenching your thirst and cooling you down at the same time. Mojitos are made from just five simple ingredients: white rum, sugar, soda water, lime juice, and mint. While you can purchase lime juice in a bottle, we recommend using fresh limes for the most authentic flavor.

Passionfruit Martini

If fruity drinks are your forte, a passionfruit martini is sure to tick all your boxes. Managing to strike a balance between being creamy yet light and sweet, not overbearingly so, it's a fresh choice for summer. Passionfruit martinis are made from vanilla vodka, sugar syrup, passion fruit liqueur, lime juice, passion fruit puree, and ice. Shake all the ingredients together before straining into a cocktail glass and garnish with half a passionfruit on top. Passionfruit martinis are served with a shot of champagne or prosecco that you drink before tucking into the cocktail.

Strawberry Margarita

A strawberry margarita is an ideal summer cocktail served frozen, meaning it will cool you down in no time. There are many derivatives of fruit you can substitute for this if strawberries aren't your thing, but we find strawberries are an ideal choice for summer. Plus, the vibrant red color means they look fab when served up too! There are only five ingredients required for a strawberry martini: fresh strawberries, tequila, Cointreau (or any orange liqueur), lime juice, and sweetener. If you want to be more authentic, you can add a salt rim to your glass. Sugar can be a good substitute if you don't fancy the sharp taste of salt but want the same effect!

Classic Daiquiri

Daiquiris can either be made frozen or not, depending on how you feel, and can also come in an array of flavors, from strawberry to watermelon. We will speak about the classic daiquiri thanks to its minimal ingredient list and ease to make, but add your own fruit to jazz it up if you wish! To make a classic daiquiri, you need to blend rum, lime juice, and a simple sugar syrup. When combined, you are left with a delicious and fresh summer drink ideal for sipping with friends.

Tequila Sunrise

A Tequila Sunrise is a fantastic summer cocktail, and thanks to its blend of tropical colors is always a hit for those poolside photos too! Made from grenadine, tequila, triple sec, and orange juice, it's fruity, refreshing, and not heavy when you're out in the heat. Garnish with a cherry, slice of orange, and a cocktail umbrella.

These are just a few of our favorite summer cocktails to enjoy. What are you waiting for? Wear your favorite swimwear, invite the girls around for a garden party, or head to the beach and enjoy a delicious tipple this summer.
